Safety & trust

Safety is built into every trip

From who can drive, to how a trip is completed, to what happens when something goes wrong, every step has a check.

Every driver is vetted

Drivers apply in the app and see nothing driver-related until approved. We check their licence, ID and vehicle papers, and approve every vehicle and its seat capacity before it carries passengers. Drivers can be suspended at any time.

The onboard code

When a car is assigned, every confirmed passenger receives a 6-digit code. The driver can never see it. At the destination the driver asks a passenger for it to complete the trip. Codes are single-use, expire a few hours after departure, and failed attempts are limited and recorded.

Private by default

Passengers see the car’s plate and the driver’s first name; drivers see passengers’ first names and booking references. Conversations happen through the in-app chat.

Location only when it matters

You can follow your car only while your trip is under way, and only if you hold a confirmed booking on it. Your own position is shared only when you hail or hire a car, and only with the driver who accepts.

Report anything

Harassment, unsafe driving, a lost item or a payment issue: report it directly from the booking. Every report reaches our support team, and every action taken on it is logged.

Fair disputes

If you were marked on board but did not travel, dispute it from the booking while the payout is on hold. The driver’s payout is frozen immediately. Support reviews the trip record and chat, may call both sides, and records the decision with a reason.

Your money is protected too

  • Payment is approved on your own phone; we never see your mobile money PIN
  • A booking is confirmed only after the operator confirms payment
  • Each booking has exactly one payment and its own reference
  • Refunds go back to the number that paid

Accountable behind the scenes

Staff accounts use two-factor sign-in and only the permissions their job needs. Sensitive actions, such as changing fares, holding a payout, suspending an account or opening a trip’s chat during a dispute, are written to an audit log that cannot be edited.

In an emergency, contact the local emergency services first, then report the trip in the app.
